Kapstone Farm
Come in! Glad you've dropped by our general store. Here's a little bit about us...

We are a large family homestead retreat nestled in an Appalachian mountain holler of 500+ glorious acres just outside of Asheville, N.C.

A desire to live off of the land and to work with our hands birthed a vision to offer a place of soulful rest - what we have learned to call a 'whole person retreat'. In our neediness, we tried this on ourselves first and uncovered a life-giving rhythm of work, rest and play. There is always too much to do. The overcoming is to celebrate what we get to do, hour by hour. That is enough.

After living the whole person retreat for more than a decade, we find ourselves with a variety of highly imperfect, worship-filled skills, ideas and goods.
Somewhere along the way, a longing grew to share from our abundance and the vision of Kapstone Farm General Store came into view.

Inspiration is all around us in the beauty and diversity of creation, from animal husbandry to gardening; from foraging to hunting; and from crafting with our hands to outdoor recreation.

Local and regional artisans have inspired us to practice wood working, metal working, pottery, fiber arts, painting/sketching, and more. On the homestead, we also explore crafting dairy products, charcuterie, fermentation, preservation, old-world artisan bread, herbal medicines, salves and soaps.

Our heart is to make friends both near and far by sharing in the richness, biodiversity and spirit-filled community we are blessed to call home.

By His mercy and grace,
